New Church building & location
Red Door moved into the Red Cross building, October 2015. We moved from West mall Theater to allow for a more permanent space and greater growth opportunities. We quickly outgrew the space and added on the warehouse for worship. We setup our lease with Red Cross on an increasing scale. Lower rent for the first year than increase every year after. The past 12 months have been tight for us but by God’s provision we have been able to cover it.
In January the Red Cross notified us that they were intending to sell the building in 2019. Along with that we felt like we needed to find a space that would allow us to not spend so much on rent and allow us to do more ministry. Since January Pastor Zach and the Elders have been looking for possible spaces. Unfortunately there is not many options for our price range + size. The only real option was a school or gym, however that would require setup and tear down.
After months of looking and praying. King of Glory church approached us and asked if we would consider sharing their building. We felt that God was opening this door. In April, Pastor Zach and Pastor Rich from King of Glory church met and discussed how our churches could share and allow for both churches to meet in one location.

A shared building allows us to:
Not be locked into a long-term lease.
Utilize a great facility and great central location.
Reduced rent. Allow for us to pay off debt and put money in savings.
Shared resources (youth, events, classes, etc).
Reach new families and people.
Partner in community outreaches.
Celebrate and encourage one another.

When and How?
May will be Red Door’s last month in the Red Cross Building.
Starting June 2019, we will move to 1001 E. 17th St. Sioux Falls, SD 57104
Red Door will meet Sunday’s at 11:11am starting Sunday June 9th.
Sunday June 2nd we will do a combined worship service with King of Glory Church at 9:30am and then celebrate together with a Pancake breakfast.
