SOAP Reading Acts 13

[SCRIPTURE]
Acts 13:2-3 NLT
“One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them." So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.”

[OBSERVATION]
The unity, fellowship of the church. The church was committed to doing the work that God was leading them into. 
It was not by their own initiative, but by God’s.

[APPLICATION]
We are each called and sent to impact those in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, etc.

But we need not only the Holy Spirit leading us but also the support, unity and encouragement of the family of God (church). 
The body of Christ provides the care and support to accomplish God’s mission.

[PRAYER]
God help me to be attentive to your leading. Give me boldness and courage to step out and share your love with those around me. Thank you for planting me into a church family, that brings support, love and fellowship.
